Fever look to be missing Kelsey Browne! Not a lot of fluency or dynamism in that attack end.
Dehaney is dominating Aiken-George at the moment.

        1/4 time: Fever 14-12

Wow, this is intense. Like a final. Fever really being pressured. After a slow start, they’ve managed to hit the lead with 5 of the last 6 goals. How will Tbirds respond?

Kadie-Ann Dehaney has been crucial in getting Fever the lead.

Cracker of a game so far.

            1/2 time: Tbirds 28-26

How about this for a game? The Thunderbirds are doing what the Thunderbirds do. They’re piling on the pressure and turning it into a real scrap. Fever scored 26 goals in just the first Q last week. Today, it’s taken them till half time.

Shamera has definitely put Jhaniele under pressure and Jhaniele has looked rattled at times. Latanya Wilson is just doing what she does which is shut down her opponent. Meanwhile, Georgie Horjus is starring again! Despite all that Fever only trail by 2.

A great battle between Romelda and Dehaney as well as Stirling and Fowler! Dehaney somehow (??) got a dubious rebound win off Romelda and she was not happy!

How was that an obstruction (2nd last goal of the third quarter)…Fowler stepped in to Sterling

I thought I wanted Fever to win but find myself rooting for the Tbirds. Such a high calibre game. Few interesting umpire calls.

                      3/4 time: 42-42

Tbirds looked to be in some sort of control for much of the third Q, but Kadie-Ann Dehaney and Jordan Cransberg have been terrific. Fever has drawn level with the last 3 goals of the Q! Everything to play for now.

Jhaniele’s style of pushing the ball into the hands of the defender, even when she steps in, always wins her the penalty, “obstruction” or not. It’s incredibly difficult to defend against with the current umpiring interpretation.

It’s a good start for Fever in the last Q and they lead by 5 now. They’ve now scored 9 of the last 10 goals!

Time out. 4 1/2 minutes left. Fever holding on 53-50. You get the feeling Thunderbirds are going to need some defensive magic and possibly some super shots.

Tbirds came so close to stealing it at the end there. I don’t like to complain about umpires but there were a few very odd calls throughout. Next time they’ll get them.

I did not like that offensive penalty called against Austin and also Romelda earlier in the quarter. Not sure what that umpire was on about. Nevertheless it was a great game by both teams.

                                  WOW! Fever wins 57-56.

                                  What. A. Game.

Lucy Austin got Tbirds to within one and then had a chance to win it, but missed. There was time left, should they have gone for the draw?

6 of the last 11 games between these 2 teams have been decided by one goal!
