          Wow. We have a 2 minute suspension against Jamie-Lee Price for dangerous play!

          Swifts were already dominating before that. They lead 10-5.

            I’m not sure I agree with the suspension call. She looked like she was trying to protect herself once she realised the other player was coming. Anyone else want to weigh in?

              1/4 time: Swifts 20-17

              Great game so far. Lots of end to end action. What a frenetic first Q and what about the crowd. Giants will be very pleased to be within 3 despite having Price sent off for 2 mins and committing 9 turnovers in that Q. Hadley brilliant.

                It did look like tunnelling, though as a result of trying to protect herself in the action she’d committed to, not intentional contact. Just happened that Smith was caught on the way through.

                            1/2 time: Swifts 38-30

                            No matter how hard they tried, Giants couldn’t get a rebound in the Swifts circle in the Power 5 and Swifts punished them. You can’t afford to give good shooters multiple attempts at the super shot. Paige Hadley continuing to dominate.

                                I think the Swifts defence end is missing the speed of Fraser as she played WD a lot last season.

                                  3/4 time: Swifts 54-41

                                  What an incredible passage of play before 3/4 time, with the ball bouncing around and desperate players falling over each other trying to grab it. In the end, Swifts got possession. And that’s a good reflection of how this game has gone!
