Just looking for clarification but is Chelsea pitman now out for the giants permanently? As she is a temporary replacement player I didn’t think she’d have the same flexibility as the new 11th player system.
Surely giants have to be concerned being the only team to have not named an 11th player and having only one WA who is returning from injury.Yes, unless Maddie Hay is out again with injury, that’s it for Pitman. Hay takes over now.
Dunkley on the bench is bizarre been the most consistent player
1/4 time: Lightning 21-15
A fast open first quarter. Firebirds started well, but gradually Lightning took over with the Diamonds trio of Koenen, Fretwell & Watson proving very hard to stop.
Turnovers: FIR 4-2
Penalties: FIR 17-9And that is 4,000 feeds in SSN for Liz Watson!
Lightning leads 30-22
Something is definitely off with Wallam. Shots not dropping and the enthusiasm doesn’t seem there.
Agreed. She really doesn’t look happy with Firebirds.
How good to see Lightning connecting finally, and without Bruce. So good to see Ervin making her mark.
1/2 time: Lightning 37-33
After looking in control up by 9, Lightning let things slip somewhat in that second Q against a spirited Firebirds team who went on an 8-3 run in the Power 5.
Gains: LIG 7-3
Turnovers: 6-6
Penalties: FIR 36-18And just like that, 3 early turnovers in the 3rd Q undoes the good work of Firebirds in the 2nd Q. Lightning leads 43-36.
