Vixens defenders playing very well, Weston always rattles ATN, Mannix limiting Beckford’s vision and forcing turnovers, and Ellis might not have stats but is working well with Mannix to sandwich Jhaniele.
Austin driving wherever she likes.

Vixens really benefit from having two shooters willing to go to post. Austin and Garbin are really complementing each other.
1/2 time: Vixens 42-36
This is going to plan so far for Vixens. They won that Q 23-14. Their defence has kept Fever relatively quiet, while the attack stood up. Kiera Austin terrific.
Gains: FEV 5-3
Penalties: 34-34
Turnovers: FEV 11-43/4 time: Vixens 59-48
Another tremendous quarter for Vixens. They won it 17-12. The turnovers continue to mount up against Fever and the Vixens attacking line is working beautifully.
Gains: VIX 8-7
Penalties: FEV 52-43
Turnovers: FEV 18-8The Vixens’ triangles and double-plays have been eating the Fever defenders alive.
Not even sure what exactly is going wrong for the Fever? Just struggling in both attack and defence.
A couple of turnovers forced and Fever has eaten into this lead. Vixens now up 66-59 with 6 1/2 minutes left.
Second phase for Fever has been a real struggle, twice in a row thrown straight over the sideline. Would’ve liked to see Williams into GD earlier in the game with Austin’s dominance.
Full time: Vixens 76-65
What a way to finish, Sophie Garbin!!!
This is a great win. And thoroughly well deserved from Vixens. Fever’s unbeaten run ended in convincing fashion. Kiera Austin was tremendous and a well-earned POTM.
I was quite impressed with Ellis today, she put the pressure on well and read the play quite well. But, really the whole vixens team were impressive.
This was a real team effort. The Vixens attack end worked so well. Meanwhile, the back three didn’t end up with a lot of stats, but the pressure they put on, forced Fever into error. Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard was restricted to 43 goals.
Massive for Vixens to be able to go west and win convincingly without Eddy and Walters. Though I suspect they would have had Ellis on JFN even with Eddy.
Mundy continues to improve and Moloney is having a very consistent year as well.
I’ve always thought Ellis to be an incredibly impressive athlete but has never really been backed in. She is certainly not a WD so good to see Vixens play her at GK. Ellis read the game well and did take advantage of the work done ahead of her by Mannix and Weston. Weston may not have had huge stats to her name but to keep ATN to 16 goal assists went a long way to the Vixens victory.
I’m personally not convinced Eddy will be back this year. Her knee injury doesn’t sound great. But if they can get Walters back then that in itself will provide some great flexibility for them.
Garbin out scored JFN. And that’s playing with a GA who scored 25 goals.
Vixens defence was smothering! I didn’t get to watch the whole game, but did Kelsey Browne get used at WA at any time? No, ATN played out the whole game. Her stats were alright, but Weston was all over her, probably moreso than even Eddy would’ve been.
