Frew has been great in that she doesn’t give away turnovers.

Any player would have slotted in well because all the attention was going to be on Horjus or RAG and when that happens she is a free player and very reliable on the take, pass and shot.

I got a bit of a shock when I found out that Fowler-Nembhard and Aiken-George are basically the same age (Romelda is about 8 months older). Romelda has been playing at the top level longer than Jhaniele, and I thought she was at least a few years older.

I’m surprised at how long it took for a team to pick her up. Was it 2016 she first got picked up by Steel? RAG was 2008?

JFN had five seasons with the Steel (2013-2017) before moving to the Fever.

Re: JFN, I would say it had a lot to do with being a young mum.

She took a bit longer than Romelda to develop her game as well, probably because she hadn’t been in the Aus/NZ system week in/week out.

Talls also traditionally take longer to develop.

A credit to RAG she was so outstanding so early.

FWIW, I have always understood the two Jamaican GS are very close in age.
