Looking forward to watching as much as I possibly can of this to see if Firebirds can play more comprehensively than they did while in NZ
Geez, I hope so. But somehow I doubt it. They would be my tip for wooden spooners this year.
Games are on Fox/Kayo in Australia and overseas fans can watch for free on https://www.netballpass.com/
After a tumultuous end to last year saw netball reach its 'lowest point' as players went unpaid for 11 weeks and the CEO departed due to tense pay negotiations, the sport is now looking for a fresh start ahead of its eighth Super Netball season. #SSN2024 https://t.co/rhDE2K1CuQ

What is up with Weston?
Vixens said load management last weekend but hmmmmm I’m not buying it.
Also, grrrr what is with the Mannix at GD obsession?!? I hate it. I guess they don’t have other GDs in their squad, oh wait they have Eddy and Coffey.
THUNDERBIRDS:
GS Aiken-George
GA Frew
WA Horjus
C Scherian
WD Wilson
GD Garrett
GK Sterling-HumphreyVIXENS:
GS Garbin
GA Austin
WA Mundy
C Moloney
WD Eddy
GD Mannix
GK EllisShamera with just a casual four possession gains in the opening ten minute quarter, including a block.
1/4 time: 9-9
Shamera in a league of her own. Really is the difference.
Enjoyed Weston’s reminder to Mannix to put her hands up in the time out. I want Eddy at GD! They really are missing Weston immensely.
Apparently Weston has a lower leg injury and won’t play all weekend.
I want Walters on. Give Garbin the ball now!
Justice for Allen, get her a contract.
Thunderbirds dominating in defence. Shamera Sterling-Humphrey with 86 NNP in an incredible 20 minutes of action. ????
1/2 time: Tbirds 20-14
Shamera having a rest, but Thunderbirds still powering on in any case doing the damage at the other end of the court through Lucy Austin. 11/11 in that Q including a super shot.
3/4 time: Tbirds 35-25
