Full time: Tbirds 38-37

It’s another one goal thriller. Good game, even if it was a bit scrappy. It was so tight in that last Q, and Lightning had their chances, but in the end, Thunderbirds did just enough to hold on for the win. Latanya Wilson had a great game.

Now Simone that’s what you get when you play a GD in GD and let Walters and Mundy run the midcourt.

Vixens best 7 without Weston. Even when she comes back though I’d leave that midcourt. Eddy should play in the circle and I’d love to see a Weston-Eddy circle. Why did they recruit Ellis?

Rapt for Walters showing everyone how good she is. As well as Graham stepping up and showing how beautiful her shot is.

What a turnaround from yesterday. The reshuffled Vixens midcourt of Moloney WD, Mundy C and newcomer Zara Walters at WA worked so well. Walters looks a total star! Meanwhile, it’s not often you see Giants outscored from super shot zone!

Walters is a star Ian! (as is Graham, they just so young!). This is how Walters plays. Is a big ball handler and just lets the ball go into the shooters. Crazy to think she used to play GD. I’m backing her in for starting 7. Together Walters and Mundy can share the feeding load.

Still a bit concerned about their defense but they do have Weston to come back in and at WD Moloney can be the voice they need back there.

A solid 10 goal win for Swifts in what was a fairly scrappy affair with 39 turnovers in 40 minutes! Lots of changes for both teams. Both these teams have 1 win apiece now in group B.

I definitely prefer Wilkinson in GA and Aryang & Williams in defence for this Fever team.

It’s a draw!!! Another thriller. Mavericks got out of the blocks quickly, but gradually Fever pegged them back and took the lead before an Eleanor Cardwell super shot tied it up late. That draw is enough for Fever to go to the top of Group B.

Interesting to see Jess Repacholi in the Fever 12 for both games so far. She hasn’t been announced as a TP but was in the Fever Reserves team for ANC and was a standout midcourter.

No Zoe Cransberg to be seen- possibly carrying an injury?
