I wonder if Fifita could be signed elsewhere, possibly Tactix?
She wasn’t the same player in 2024 after 2 seasons away, though if she isn’t signed and still wants to play then she could make a good training partner for Steel/ southern blast player, who could come in if anything happened to Stythe.
Laura Balmer is another backup option, assuming she isn’t signed elsewhere. NZ U21 player, who was with Southern blast this year. I’m not sure about her height but I think is 1.85m + …
Defensive end for the Tactix I presume is all sorted.
Watson, Burger and Lokutui weren’t named in their departures, so think they’ll be back.
Midcourt is the issue I think. Peterson has retired twice already, and lost Poi and Sinclair.
Unsure who will be picked up there. Not many mids left.Cardwell is only playing the Australian leg of the tour.
Has Maia Wilson been named for the Stars yet?
So Kamo (Stars) and Thomas (Steel) eligible for both NZ and AUS.
Wallams also eligible to play for Diamonds despite signing with the Mystics.
Pulse middies
Souness
Gordon
Ioane
Pulieata
(Paris Petera out, but with no acknowledgment so far like others have had)by my calculations, still to be named
Stars – 2x Shooters, 1x defence
Magic – 1x Shooter
Pulse – 3x Defence
Tactix – 4 x Middies (assuming Lokotui is D, otherwise 3/1 split)still a fair bunch of players contracted in 2024 (replacements players included) that haven’t been named, so I’m guessing a few will miss out completely – which I imagine will bolster the NNL ranks and hopefully bring it a step closer to where it should be in comparison to ANZ level
INBOX: 2025 Pulse midcourt – Maddy Gordon, Fa’amu Ioane, Ainsleyana Puleiata, Whitney Souness.

@thunder123 also concerned about Tactix midcourt… i think back to 2023 when it seemed their mid court let them down and nothing worked. They almost need a Gordon or Heffernan but see they both staying where they are
