Nanyonga 10/11South Africa maintaining a handy buffer over Uganda thanks to a more efficient attack end. Maseko once again playing strongly. Mary Cholhok suffering a bit from the yips at this stage
Full Time: RSA 70-45
van der Berg 40/43 (93%)
Maseko 17/19 (89%)

Nanyonga 12/13 (92%)
Eyaru 5/5 (100%)
TOTAL 45/56 (80%)A dominant win for SA. POTM Maseko was a standout at both GA & WA!
The She-Cranes had no answer to the speed of South Africa’s attack end. Not content with killing it at GA for the first 3 Qs, Maseko went to WA for the last Q and killed it again. In contrast, Uganda found it very difficult, often getting stalled in the centre third.

Mvula 11/15Malawi have shown lots of fight but occasionally are let down by some lapses in concentration. Otherwise, this is a pretty even contest so far. Expect England to try to step things up in the Q3.

Ngambi 15/16 (94%)
Masamba 2/2 (100%)
TOTAL 36/45 (80%)The hosts dominated Q4 to the tune of 19-4! Paige Reed was outstanding on debut and was POTM.
Liv Tchine went down with a knee injury early in Q3. It looked pretty bad, but as the match wore on, she looked relatively positive on the bench, so here’s hoping it’s not as serious as it first looked.
Good news… Liv Tchine is okay.
Mal v Uga:
A very competitive game. Joyce Mvula scores from a penalty right on time to bring Malawi back within 2. It’s 14-12 to Uganda at 1/4 time.
Mvula 9/10
Ngambi 3/3Cholhok 9/11
Eyaru 5/61/2 Time: MAL 28-25
Mvula 20/22
Ngambi 8/10Cholhok 16/20
Eyaru 9/10An impressive 16-11 quarter from Malawi to take the lead. The attack end working well and the defence keeping Mary Cholhok quiet. Towera Vinkhumbo was however suspended for 2 mins late in the Q.
In the 3rd q, Masamba was also suspended for Malawi. Despite that, they led 42-37.
Full Time: MAL 59-45

TOTAL 45/53 (85%)A 17-8 last Q seals an impressive win for Malawi. Strong all round but Joyce Mvula is a deserved POTM.
England v South Africa.
For those who haven’t caught up with the news, Liv Tchine is good to go!

Maseko 5/7Well, these two teams can’t be separated it seems (it was 14-14 at 1/4 time). It’s going goal for goal. Great battles all over the court.
Sanmarie Visser went off for a whack on the nose in the first Q. She’s back now.
3/4 time: 46-46
Tchine 29/29
Reed 17/18van der Berg 37/39
Maseko 9/12This is incredible. Still nothing between these two teams. Lots of whistle though.
Who’s going to come out on top?
