Robbed of a more exciting finish by the supershot.
Hope Glasgow is okay.
Mavericks are just excellent to watch the absolute fight they give is unreal
The heart shown by jok parmenter nankivell and brown (Jenner) is great to watch
Rewound and watched that first clash between parmy and Simmons (bringing a bit of aglow to Netty) and then seeing the intercept from brown and the scream from jok makes for phenomenal watching loved how much fight they had I didn’t expect it given their small defense end up against Nweke
Full time: SWI 68-62
A great game. Mavericks gave Swifts everything they could handle. Helen Housby proves the difference in the end with a great all round game and some tremendous 2 point shooting under pressure. Tayla Fraser was terrific for Mavs.
Ben Homer is commentating again ðŸ˜
This should be a ripper game. Very interested to see if Fretwell plays any minutes in GA.
1/4 time: LIG 15-14
A great first Q. These two teams usually have close battles, and so far, this is no different. Shamera Sterling-Humphrey already has four gains, but Tbirds have been guilty of throwing possession away. 6 turnovers already against them.
Right now ,I think Olivia W and Reily B are better goalers than Cara K..
1/2 time: THU 29-27
Incredible that it’s this close. Thunderbirds dominated the first part of the 2nd Q, restricting Lightning to just 4 goals in over 10 minutes. But then came super shot time, and Fretwell and Batcheldor landed 4 of them to narrow the gap.
For such a close score at half-time the difference in NNP is interesting. 233 v 121
Kierra Trompf says Romelda can only train for an hour a week! I know she’s playing brilliantly, but is that safe?
Tbirds with 11 gains to 4. Shamera has 6 gains, Garrett 3. Wilson has zero gains but that doesn’t matter as she is proving to be the shutdown queen once again.
Interesting umpiring. Questionable replay then missed replay and absurd short pass call against Lightning. I get the umpire was behind and couldn’t see but sure you shouldn’t assume something happened when you have no line of sight.
3/4 time: THU 43-37
Thunderbirds continue to pile the defensive pressure on, restricting Lightning to just 10 goals in that Q. It’s going to take a big turnaround for the home team to get up in this one.
