Some questionable coaching from Reynolds

Ervin should absolutely be on the court

Batcheldor should probably be on the court

Maybe still recovering from injury but I felt that Mimi was their best C option last year

Thunderbirds looking the goods again this season. Not sure all the changes for Lightning have worked. I agree Ervin needs to be on court. Not sure what Lightning will do in a post Fretwell world.

I’m feeling fairly frustrated with SCL’s trajectory over the past couple of seasons. I thought Kylee Byrne was a bit unlucky with some roster troubles – though they clearly needed better defensive coaching than what she offered – but their current list should be performing a lot better. Senior players bear plenty of responsibility for their own performances but I also can’t say I’ve been a big fan of Reynolds’ coaching decisions. And whatever is going on with Koenen’s form for the past year, I don’t think it’s helping trying to play her primarily as a GA.

The Swifts will not be able to play the bomb it to Grace from the mid court against the Tbirds so will be interesting to see what they do.

The inability of Lightning to change it up was disappointing. Once TBirds got going they had no answer or change up to disrupt Adelaide.

It will be an unpopular opinion but Horjus really should be the Diamonds starting WA. Yes Watson continues to pump out huge numbers but her turnover rate (which has started to creep up in her last year at Vixens) is getting g too high and costly for SCL. Koenen needs a refresh. A fresh start somewhere? Like others have said why was Ervin off?

Frew really should be in the next Diamonds squad. So calm. Much better performance from Garrett this week.

Vixens attack is a mess. Lacking options. Poor feeding. I’d bring Graham on.
