Round 3 is a split round so just 2 game this week but one is a real blockbuster in Adelaide.
What is the reasoning behind splitting round 3 over 2 weekends please? It seems early in the season for teams to have a ‘bye’ weekend.
Not sure. Could have been venue availability? Or clashes with other events. It’s certainly not because teams need a rest!
This week is Easter and next week is ANZAC Day. I assume that has something to do with it.
I agree Maryann, it seems weird. Especially given this is only the 3rd round. You don’t see the other professional sports leagues doing this over Easter.
1/2 time: MAV 31-27
A strong first Q from Mavs but Giants fought back to take the second Q by 1. Hope White came on at 1/4 time and helped to turn things around.
This game is depressing. It’s not the Giants young guns that are letting the team down. Jovic has been completely on top of JLP. Dwyer’s game has stagnated and is playing the worst netball of her SSN career. JFitz needs to have the courage to bench the experienced heads when they don’t perform.
Full time: MAV 71-56
In the end, a dominant performance from Mavericks. Jok led the way with 60/63 and was rewarded with POTM in her 100th game. Molly Jovic also had a great game coming back from injury. Giants just made too many errors.
Giants very disappointing Matisse after and Dwyer all not ready to carry the load
Harten to coaching role and wallam to GS would reignite this team
Obviously lots of players ssn form dips but they stay strong in the diamonds environment however I am concerned at the moment
Bruce Klau not playing their best
Koenan Dwyer not playing their bestSo many strong up and comers could be interesting to see what happens for diamonds lineup this year
Both RBD Brown (Jenner) Ervin arguably playing better than Bruce and KlauHorjus potentially best WA option and 2nd best GA option for diamonds
Did my eyes deceive me? Is Taurua sitting on the bench with the Swifts?
