As Sue Gaudion is always quick to remind netball fans, statistics can’t tell us everything. What they can do is offer an insight into how teams play the game strategically and how individual players have performed over the season. This article is the culmination of looking at the stats of every player to have taken the court in the 2019 SSN season. A similar series of articles I wrote last year looked at players according to position. This year, I have opted to take a slightly different approach by looking at some of the key stats across different positions, as well as team stats in areas like turnover and gain conversion.
