Tried to watch the pulse vs stars game on maori tv. Unwatchable with the commentary being 80% in maori. Just ridiculous. I stopped watching it after 5 minutes.
Does anyone know what’s happening with the anz premiership coverage? Is that being screened on tvnz or sky? If it’s on Maori tv and the commentary is in Maori I’m going to give up watching nz netball.

Can the ANZP please implement the super shot for this season pls? Firebirds v Tactix was far more interesting to watch due to the super shot than the snore-fest of the Pulse v Stars blow-out score game. Rather watch a netball game whose score has been blown out due to super shots rather than it being blown out due to close-to-the-hoop, 1-point shots.

I was about to say the same thing @silverferns1

I will say the Pulse v Stars game was not a good watch, it was quite boring. Score line seemed similar to when they played Vixens.

Far out kiwikiwi do you know how bad you sound. Be dame grateful that it is shown at all.
For a pre season comp, the coverage is excellent, and it might help you to understand and learn NZ’s 2nd official language.
Backward comments like your ones belong in the dark ages.
There are 3 games on today, best you mute the sound or maybe no watch.

Yeah, we should be thankful the games are being shown at all, and that’s thanks to Maori TV. If you don’t like the Maori commentary, you can always turn the volume down.

I enjoyed the two games I watched via Maori TV (I’m in Australia) – I think we probably all know enough about netball to follow along with the game even if not understanding the commentary 🙂 It’s great to have the opportunity to watch!

Apparently, Dwan didn’t travel with the team.

I’m not sure what the Firebirds are getting out of this trip. Very disappointing. The training partners are getting a good run. They haven’t had their best team on court at all.

Agree with other comments. I’m enjoying seeing the ANZP teams play the super shot. They’re going to the post versus dicking around to inch closer. The most impressive for me was Walmsley! She was nailing the 2s from the bit of the Pulse vs Firebirds game I saw.

Mightily impressed with Jess Allan at the Tactix. I think MDH will have no hesitation to bring Allan on if TPSR and Dunn get too static. From what I’ve seen Allan has speed to burn and is happy to go to the post. A great change-up in that shooting circle for the Tactix.

The midcourt for the Tactix is much more settled with Pedersen coming back into the side as well.

I’m pleased to see pre-season being shown and for Maori TV I have been surprised how much commentary is in English. The broadcast has been high quality too.
I’ve also been impressed with Allan for Tactix. I’m pretty sure the SF selectors will be taking note too.
Quite a few of the extended squad members have impressed.
