Netball’s new battleground: the competition for elite female athletes
Stars have brought in a replacement for Nawai Caucau who is expecting her second child https://www.starsnetball.co.nz/stars/news/munro-nonoa-promoted-to-stars-squad-for-anz-premiership-season.html?fbclid=IwAR0-LsDZPkZerEVusLjbompK6aRcHW_YskrMlVLJrNmug7X8xIrFCSr8yZk
Whilst I didn’t think the Stars would be great, their lineup is getting considerably weaker.first Samon Nathan pregnancy and now Nawaii. Congrats to both girls, but makes them weaker.
After already losing Crampton and Hume.@thunder123 – and Temu. Yes I think the defensive end is going to battle even with Burley back. Its a great chance for the next tier to show what they are made of.
I think this year the Tactix, Pulse and Mystics will be finals contenders, while the rest may result in some lopsided games. Although, I haven’t seen how the Magic or Steel have been travelling preseason.

@Museboy – Magic have kept it very quiet.
There was an article that I read yesterday about Steel and the fact that they only retained four players from last season (I think that included Fisher). However Shannon Saunders returns, and four others – Fifita, O’Connell, Abby Lawson (nee Erwood) and Grace Namana have all played for Steel previously.
Theres some pre seasons games this weekend – starts today – in Dunedin (not televised) with five teams (not Magic) taking part.Oops yes no Stars – the Magic are there.
Tactix 60 – Steel 54 at full time
Crampton showing she’s still got it in the TGC!
Day 2:
Mystics 56 – Steel 40
Pulse 45 – Magic 30
Steel 28 – Magic 44
Tactix 31 – Pulse 31Day 3:
Tactix 65 – Magic 46 -
