@NSWSwifts too strong in Q4, final score of 66-54. Terrific day and thanks to all our supporters for making it a great occasion. Huge thanks to Swifts for the game and coming to our home pic.twitter.com/jGIftrLB5x

Was there any mention of Cullens “illness” during the match?
Not that I heard but the warm up wasn’t broadcast and I went to organise dinner once the game finished. I’ll have a listen and see.
One thing I have noticed is that she has been conspicuous by her absence on instagram for two weeks now and that is very unlike her. Maybe she is genuinely sick.
That Swifts vs Magic game was like the ANZC. Our teams always ran out of gas in the 2nd half.
I’m becoming a big fan of Nat H. Actually the whole Swifts attack. Its so slick and smooth. Hadley looks at home in this team more than the Diamonds. She was awesome.
I thought Klau was caught with her down too much. The ball went straight over her head at times. Mind you, it was a moving circle with no giant in there. Which is where she is fabulous. Turner was good!!
Magic are going to get burned in the ANZP for many REASONS. ALM, Mikaere, Tong, O’Sullivan, borderline Mcphee, ACDC are underperforming. The midcourt is pretty good. I want to see Sammy and Souness really solidify their combination. I don’t like Sammy in WD. Attack works nicely sometimes, but the shooting is off unless they’re under the hoop.
Full time in Queenstown and the Pulse come away with 65-54 win. It’s been a great trip south for these pre season…

McPhee arms and elbows were everywhere in that game, other umpires would’ve whistled her off the court I think. ALM looked good out there, had a few missed shots but had some nice touches as well. I don’t really want to talk about defence, hopefully the combinations start to gel in the next 32 days lol
The turnovers in attack really hurt Magic and no Kopua to win the ball back for them. Let’s not forget that they’re also missing Faulkner. Souness was great, should’ve got the start imo. Swifts were slick through court. That frontline was without any pre-season cobwebs. Klau and Turner were amazing as always.
A Fowler Mikaere combo will be the best for Magic.
Tong at GK is confusing. She lacks height.McPhee need to up her shooting come ANZP time. Easy shots missed!
Latu Meafou looked good! She is fitter this year.
Souness and Sinclair will be a fast midcourt, with Cable Dixon.
Souness SHOULD be at WA, but I think Metcalf wants her at C…Is the Vixens V Mystics game on YouTube too?
Don’t think any of these games are.

Looking forward to taking on the @MelbourneVixens tomorrow.
