Apart from being one of the best performed centres this season – her figures are on par with Langman – Verity Charles also has a long standing connection with CBass at Fever, so would know how to feed her. With the two point shot not part of the international game, CBass still has an incredibly important role to play for Australia, and having that connection is important. Charles absolutely in the mix for the final 12.

Strong squad. I personally wouldnt have Charles and Antiss there over Parmenter especially.

No Eddy also. She should be there.

God I hope Parmenter doesn’t play for England, wouldn’t that be a big whoopsie.

Based on the 2020 SSN season, I have chosen an Australian under 23 team (age as of 1/10/20) …

GS – Sasha Glasgow – Thunderbirds
              GA- Tippah Dwan – Firebirds
WA – Tayla Fraser – Swifts
              C – Maisie Nankevill – Thunderbirds
WD – Sunday Aryang – Fever
GD – Kim Jenner (c)- Firebirds
GK – Tara Hinchliffe – Firebirds

              Subs
              Georgie Horjus – Thunderbirds
              Allie Smith – Vixens
              Olivia Lewis – Fever

(Hard to find a well performed tall GS to back Glasgow up, but Horjus deserves a spot in the team)

Would love to see your U23 take on the Diamonds Scracher, because there are some total guns in there – would be the best upset ever if they pulled off a win, which is totally doable when you think how many of those players are starting 7 for their club!

That starting 7 for U/23 is crazy and it’s also crazy to think that, at the moment, only one of them is even in the wider Diamonds squad!

Very little to chose from Netballcrazy, I cant think who else could be put in the team, as most the other ‘young’ ones in the Diamonds squad are 23 or over on 1/10/20, …who would you pick?

Oh no, I totally agree with that team and understand that there is limited choice regardless, but I was just highlighting how strong that team would be even though only one of them made the Diamonds squad. Very exciting

Listening to Bassett on the inner circle podcast there is a Dimaonds squad camp at Noosa after the GF. Bassett isn’t going as she is back in Sydney and can’t get back into QLD without quarantining. Kiera Austin is in the same position. To stay for the camp they faced an extra 3 weeks in QLD and the related accomodation costs, missing work / study and being away from family / friends. Explains why the Swifts’ Diamonds are on the GC (Klau is in Adelaide – But there is no quarantine from SA to QLD).

Well that’s a shame, two of the Diamonds shooters can be at the camp? That’s a massive blow to the one camp they have for the year and probably not a good sign for Bassett’s captaincy, not that that is the most important thing though.

She did say in the Inner circle interview, it was more a team bonding and not a selection camp.
I don’t think her or Austin would have gone home, if SM didn’t want them to. They are zooming in on the camp.
