I read the inclusion of Austin as being more of an opportunity to expose her to that higher performance environment and get her in the system for the future. It’s no different to others being invitees in the past like Dwan or Mundy. Agree she’s still a long way off that level, but every time she’s given an opportunity she rises to it, and this is a great development opportunity. Whereas Mannix has been included as recognition of her great season and to see if she can replicate it with the Diamonds too.

I’m surprised that that’s the only invitee although I do like the choice.

I probably would’ve had another defender to replace Mannix and maybe even Tayla Williams.

Weston and Bruce injured according to Facebook. So only Wallam and Mundy not selected from wider squad (other than invitees. Although that doesn’t work for Ellis)
