I think Wallam doesn’t suite SM style of play. She prefers a moving circle, or the ability to have it.

When she was a coach at State league level in Perth, her success came from having a moving circle. She then gets the Fever gig, and has to work with a target shooter in JFN. Although they made finals etc, they never got over-the-line.

Diamonds set up, all her success (which they hold every trophy there is) has come from a very versatile shooting circle. If something was to happen to Koenan or Garbin, Wallam would definitely be straight in there.

I think we will see Wallam in the 15 for the NZ series. Horjus has been included as a shooter so there wasn’t room for 6 shooters, nor was there any point and I don’t think Australia can afford to leave Garbin or Koenen out.

I think if Bruce and Weston are fit, we will see them come in for Ellis and Garrett and Mundy and Parmenter will swap.

So is Lucy Austin that close to being a Diamond debut with no Wallam? Crazy. I’ve never rated her, and this coming from a Tbirds fan.

Ruby and Donnell both there in the videos from today. Odd that they weren’t in the main photo.

I think Lucy Austin is a future Diamond but would be surprised if she debuted in the near future.
