Great to see Ruby, Amy, Donnell and the Maddys included in these squads and to see resting of some of the senior players. Wow, and just noticed Sophie G is back in the squad.

I guess Ash will be full-on with AFLW so that’s why she isn’t included in either squad and Paige requires rehab from her calf injury (resting up in the Greek Islands )

I think Brazill is taking time off to spend with family, not doing footy.

Very keen to see how Bakewell-Doran, Dwyer and Wallam go.

Smart selections from Marinkovich. Testing her wider squad to see what they can do (esp the debutants at international level), while also giving the incumbents a little reminder there’s players readily waiting in the wings.

Hope Taurua follows a similar approach to give the CWG reserves a run. No Saunders will open up a midcourt spot.

What is concerning though is the lack of GK’s waiting in the wings.

I didn’t expect Stacey to include so many players but overall I think it’s a good thing. Great to see Proud and Parmenter included in the squads for both series. I’d really like to see RBD, Parmenter, Proud and Dwyer given good court time. It would be be a dream to see a Hadley/Proud/Parmenter midcourt at international level.
