Where will Cbass play next? Had her for the Rhinos before Dan Ryan left. With the CBA not agreed for Suncorp this is huge gamble from her. Does anyone know whether Suncorp clubs can speak to players during this time. Guess we will have to wait and see what happens
A boy can dream – but wouldn’t CBass at Vixens be the perfect ending for her career? A bit like Cath Cox?
MJ would be first option for GS or GA.
Back up GA Samason.
Back up GS CBass?I reckon she’ll go to the vixens! She would be a great rebounder!
Experience shooter could be what Vixens needs. not sure where else she could play for. Swifts have GA/GS covered unless one of them leaves. But the only clubs she can talk to at the moment are VNSL though.
Tbirds maybe?
Could she possibly return to the Sunshine Coast? Peace Prescovia (sp?) has had very limited court time. And though she’d be sitting behind Koenan/Wood, she could easily slot in as a point of difference.
As someone mentioned, Vixens could be a very good option.
I think CBass could work really well with a GA like Horjus, if she was picked up by Tbirds (and providing Horjus stays).
Sarah Klau commented on CBass’s Instagram announcement with a clap and ?…do we read anything into that?
Well she did train with the Swifts. But their shooting circle is complete at the moment unless someone is leaving. Could it be Netball Australia might limit the number of imports in each team and in each area. that would mean Swifts would have to decide between Housby or Wallace,
I’m not a Cbass fan but this is a really nice sentiment. Good on her for posting it and beautifully written.
I thought she might come to Rhinos in VSNL as a replacement for Wallams. Now that Dan is leaving i think this door maybe closed.
I’m surprised no one mentioned Magpies. Bassett would fit perfectly! And to have Browne feed her wouldn’t be new.
She made a brave decision to leave Magic if there was contract offer. What is happening in Suncorp at the moment with no CBA in place yet must be unsettling for all the players, hopefully she will get a contract but not guaranteed. how much will Covid affect signings we shall see
Very good, I’m sure she enjoyed her time in Mt Maunganui.
I’ll be very surprised if she gets a starting position anywhere in SSN. Clubs need to move forward and whilst yes CBass may be a legend of the game she is far and away from what she once was and it’s time Australia and the SSN clubs look forward to the future.
The most she may be able to offer is a 3rd goalie/mentor role so perhaps the vixens is her best bet. But looking forward I think a club like lightning who have an established circle will want to bring in a young and inexperienced player to develop for the future.
