Realistically she’s only going to be picked up at a club where their existing GS is either replaceable or can play GA. So that’s pretty much T’Birds and Lightning. Maybe if SSN starts kicking out imports she could get a spot at the Swifts, but I have a feeling they’d keep Wallace over Housby.
Some of the SSN shooting combos have gone stale anyway. A nice change up for players might be good for the comp and themselves.
Houseby and Wallace have been together too long IMO. Koenen and Wood is hot and cold. Even Bueta and Aiken have been together forever. Its boring to watch, the combos aren’t exciting anymore.
Bassett well… Good luck to her. Time to go approaching teams I think. I dont think she will get offers.
I don’t think Bassett would be leaving if she wasn’t sure that she’d get a contract somewhere (even if that doesn’t mean she is a starting player), but maybe that’s just me.
Wouldn’t she have to have a contract to be in the Diamonds squad?
Don’t think any of the Diamonds squad currently have contracts for next season at the moment so not sure what would happen. Do they have separate contract to play for the Diamonds
Not much new here, and seems to be a bit of conjecture from the author. Netball Tasmania!?
But I was interested to see both the Swifts and Giants apparently on record as not being interested. Not surprised by you, but I’d missed those comments.
I wonder if Fowler will return to Jamaica to be with her daughter and Cbass can return to her original teamSurely adding an expansion team for 2022 isn’t viable. I would assume the planning and preparation it requires, even after getting the license, would be better suited to joining in 2023.
Very random that Giants were approached regarding Bassett, was pretty obvious she wasn’t going there.
