Hmmm, was really thinking there was some great Australian shooting talent up for grabs that Collingwood could’ve signed (Glasgow, Hodges, Garbin, Allen, Stanton or even shooters who are playing ANL)but hopefully this strengthens their attack for next season.

This indicates to me that Collingwood will either promote a TP or sign Shimmin. Shimmin and Mentor could be an interesting combination since they both represent England but they are both best at GK.

Its a shame, I hope she can get a contract somewhere else, although its unlikely. Her only option is Lightning, but if she’s only just found out recently, she may have missed the boat for that one.

Thunderbirds and Lightning need an extra defender.

I don’t think Magpies are promoting a TP. If they were going to do that then they would have already known that. But they’ve only just decided or at least only just communicated this to Garrett which makes me think they’ve picked someone up from elsewhere.

Yeah, I doubt it will be a TP, I think it would more likely be Shimmin. Unfortunately for Garrett, I don’t see her getting a contract this late for 2021. Doesn’t make sense for the Thunderbirds to sign Garrett over Shimmin (although some of their decisions never make sense) and I think if Lightning can’t lure a more experienced defender, they will resolve to promoting a TP. So Garrett could be another player to miss out on a contract

I know who she is. I’m just saying they got rid of Garrett for her? They got rid of one local defender who spent most of her time on the bench to sign another local defender who will spend most of her time on the bench. It’s hardly an earth shattering signing that is going to send the Magpies up the ladder.

Yay we know who the contracted ten are. Now it’s just time to announce the coach. Do we know if Kate Upton and Nicole Richardson are still the assistant coaches? I rate Richardson. The Magpies defence end were definitely the shining light of season 2020. I found Upton to be too dominant in the time-outs. She often spoke over Rob Wright and her rev-up methods often ended up putting more pressure and doubt into the shooters’ minds.
