A bit of a discussion tonight about Super Rugby as everyone coming into NZ from midnight tomorrow night has to self isolate for two weeks. The Brumbies are due to play the Blues next weekend.
But nothing about teams within NZ.

There’s massive upheaval in NZ sports – Super Rugby cancelled, the Warriors and the Phoenix looking to have to play out the rest of their seasons in Australia (assuming the comps aren’t cancelled). Many of our Olympic athletes (boxing, rowing, hockey, athletics to name a few) have had their Olympic preparation tournaments cancelled (as will be the Olympics, I expect). Nothing about netball, and possibly because the crowds are quite small and they are ticketed it might keep going, depending on how things play out in the next week or two. Large events where attendents can’t be identified are definitely off.
They won’t cancel the Olympics. They had the Zika virus in Brazil in 2016, that killed and infected way more people, the Olympics happened nobody died.
The Vitality Netball Superleague Board will meet on Tuesday 17th March to consider the position of the 2020 VNSL season. In the interim all VNSL fixtures will be postponed with immediate effect.
