OMG I’d like it just eliminated once I England. We’re no where back to normal.
No fans at sporting events. The centre of London is like a ghost town in places. In outer London the shopping centres are packed, well they are in East London.
It’s the transport system that worries me. When the kids go back to school in September they will be packed. No one will be able to social distance.
I hope things work out for you Kat. I’m sure NZ will be down to Zero cases again in no time, in the UK we can only dream
Oh, did anyone see Deb Fuller on “off the court” ???? She was asked who would win the GF and she said Tactix. She didn’t hesitate or pause
Fuller might still be a bit annoyed that they weren’t wanted on the Pulse bench…
Well the Tactix have form going into the final. Pulse not so much.
Well, I’d still pick Pulse to win the final. If the Tactix would have taken out one of their starting shooters and WA they would have struggled as well.
I’m just hoping there is a final played.
Why would the final not be played. Teams are from Christchurch and Wellington.
Community sport is being played.
If NNZ cancel the final because of a handful of cases, then they will look a total fool.A week is a long time in uncertain times Mcleod. What if Covid pops up in Wellington in a few days time as it seems to be extending southwards, would it still be a good idea to fly people out of Wellington to other centres?
You have to remember that this is just a game, nothing more. A little bit of entertainment. Most of the country wouldn’t even care.
I know community netball here was cancelled today much to the disappointment of the family.
Well they are playing the final, it’s been confirmed. The other games are not being played, although the Steel might play a curtain raiser.
If they can play NBA, WNBA, Golf, Tennis and other sports in America, then they can play Netball in the deep south.
That’s cool if it has been confirmed. Seems a little silly for both teams to travel south when there are no crowds at the game, they should just have it in Wellington somewhere.
Who cares what they are doing sports-wise in America? That country is stuffed covid wise .They are just trying to breathe life into their multi billion dollar industry.
There might be a small crowd allowed too I hear, just not the general public.
Looking forward to it because I really thought there was a chance of it not going ahead.
This is awesome that the final is still going to be played.
Nesian was all netball cancelled in Invercargill ( I am only presuming that you are there). Christchurch had senior, senior reserves and 2nd grade playing on Saturday, about 40 to 50 teams. The Prems play on Tuesday night. My kids play other sport and they are all go, as long as they stick to the 100 and do cleaning after it.
Kat, yes all netball in Invercargill was cancelled yesterday.
All teams play under the roof at the stadium so that might have something to do with it.
