Would have selected Glasgow over Garbin.
No Rav is interesting. Hopefully she is included later!

Proud gets a fair few held balls.
I think with 3 named GDs covering WD and two players who are WD/C but playing C predominantly at SSN, they’ll only take one WD specialist. Stats on intercepts for Braz and Parmenter were interesting – Parmenter far more so far this season.
Koenen and Garbin and Wallam – specialists at GS. Garbin having another rough year off the bench and/or being pushed into GA; Koenen hasn’t had a great year so far but was good in Lightning’s last game. I think they’ll take one specialist GS knowing Bueta can go back there, as can Wood.
With Austin picked in the squad after coming back from injury and a hit and miss start to the season, I wonder how much time Samason will get on court for the Vixens. 😥
I think the 4 shooters will be Bueta, Wood, Wallam and Austin.
I think the squad for the defence and shooting ends is fairly predictable.
The midcourt does need to be looked at- way too defence heavy. I cannot understand why Ravaillon was left out- she has been in great form and has the international winning experience that the squad is lacking. Even if they are diametrically opposed to Rav, what about other attacking players? Simmons comes to mind for me. I’m not a massive fan of hers, but she has been consistent this year.
A few interesting comments regarding parmenter here. I believe she is massively underrated! For the WD spot I’d take her over Price any day of the week.
I hope they do add players later on to make 22. I personally would add Ravaillion, Proud, Browne and Mannix
Thanks for correcting my mistake about Amy Parmenter, NB12.
To be clear, I really like Parmenter and I hope to see her make the team at some point. But there are so many players in the squad already who have been tested in that WD position at international level. It seems odd to me that Braz/Moloney/JLP were all tried in WD at the Quad Series, and now they’ve all been retained along with Parmenter (and with Weston/Turner/Aryang/Hadley there as other potential WD options).
Very curious to know what the plan is if Liz Watson gets ruled out at any point.
Do we know if Rav put her hand up for selection? Cant remember if she did say yes to possible diamond selection or not?
Yes, all Australian players in SSN were available.
