Neither Caitlin Basset or Kiera Austin were considered for selection due to their knee surgeries.

Hoping to see Proud in tomorrow’s mid court announcement. If either Anstiss or Charles make it over her I would be extremely disappointed.

I’m really hoping Proud is selected and gets to debut. I wonder if Watson will be ready in time for this series. Either way I really hope Charles and Anstiss aren’t selected

I remember when they talked about her navicular injury they were talking about a “year” out of the game rather than a “season”. I wondered if there was anything in that wording. I guess no return in Jan but hopefully she surprises us (in a healthy and not forced way!)

Charles will be there, but I think Proud should have edged ahead of her now for court time (in Stacey’s eyes, I know that’s already the case for most others!). I think it will be the same as CC, but if Watson isn’t playing then it will be Braz or Parmenter added. It would be good if Watson could tour with the team and at least train with them and support them.

I reckon since Watson is captain, it wouldn’t be a reach to suggest that she tours with the team even if she’s not able to play. In terms of Anstiss and Charles, in my eyes neither should make the touring team or the CC team but I doubt Stacey sees it that way. They’re solid players for their clubs but I think there are players that bring more to the team.

This has to be a sick joke… after Moloney’s very very average season how the hell did she get in over Proud. I’d even have Proud over Hadley to be honest, she’s had a fantastic season. I seriously don’t get why SM won’t give her a solid chance, even when she has been selected for a touring squad, she never gets court time.

I’m not even a big Proud fan but I also agree she’s been overlooked quite a few times now when it could be seen as “her time”
They’ve gone with people with experience though I think to control that mid court? And let Maloney to have that Watson Maloney combo on hand

All those who thought SM might play favourites and go with the Fever players, not on the money. But still some surprises. Brazill gets in over Parmenter. And I’m still disappointed for Proud. She is constantly underrated.

I think the WA coverage is very very low here. Hadley hasn’t spent much time at WA in recent times so here we go again running the risk of burning out Watson at WA/C and having not the best attacking back-up available.

That’s an impressive midcourt. Moloney’s connection with Watson probably is a large reason for her selection. I am devastated for Maddy Proud, I personally would have taken her over Hadley but hopefully one day she’ll get to debut.

Disappointed both Parementar and Proud don’t get a chance. I don’t think Moloney had a good season so I really have no idea how SM picked this mid-court.
