That is a big loss. her skills were amazing. Wonder which SSN club she will end up at, Fever have Fowler. For me the Swifts should try and get her, would be great signing. But nothing can happen I guess until the CBA is sorted
I really doubt the Swifts would take her, both Garbin and Wallace are better. Wallam has potential but it will take her time to adjust to playing against top defenders, the most established player she’s ever competed against is Eboni Usoro-Brown. It’s not the same as playing against Bruce/Sterling/Mentor/Maweni etc.
I expect T’Birds will take her, or maybe even Fever. They’ve got four shooters signed up now so I wouldn’t be that surprised to see them take her on looking forward. They included her as a training partner when she wasn’t even in the country so they clearly rate her. I think she’d be good at Lightning as a replacement for Proscovia as well, especially now that Koenen has shown she can play well at GA.
If Donnell doesn’t make it to the CWG, I think she will be at the World Cup. Between her and Koenan you have 2 completely different styles.
could she really make CWG all depends on which club she signs for and if she starts regularly, If she is the shooter in form who knows. Thinking about Rhinos who is going to replace her?
If Wallam does make the CWG, imagine her combo with Bueta. Both basketball styles. Would be unstoppable!
Hmm, technically she should go to T’birds, as I recall Lenise had talked about playing GA. This would be her opportunity.
But I reckon JFR may return home at the end of the season, especially if Fever win SSN, to be with her daughter. Then Donnell will stay at Fever.
Replacement at Rhinos, Cbass
Madi is due to take up her contract next year too
Cbass would be a dream, imagine Rushton learning from her, Have a feeling Dan Ryan might unearth another hidden talent from Australia. Will Maddi still come? If not would we go for Haythornwaite, that’s assuming she leaves the Swifts
Rushton showed she can step up this season, and will have a year’s worth of work under her belt. If Nat H decides to come back, she could be the perfect partner to work with Rushton and really move her along, with Grierson and Dixon still in the mix. Appreciate that’s quite a front-loaded line up – really need Grierson to develop her C skills as well so Clarke can move back to WD….

Actually shelve that (it won’t let me edit my post) – if Madi Browne still comes over then they are ridiculously loaded with talent. Maybe use Dixon at GS, Haythornthwaite at GA, Grierson at WA and Madi at C with Jade at WD? or Dixon / Haythornthwaite / Madi / Jade? So many good players in one place all of a sudden!
