Usoro-BrownDoes Usuro-Brown count as a surname past ‘M’ or not really? 😂😂😂😂
Super solid team from England, a lot of experience and probably favourites for gold imo but question is what happens after NWC? Im seeing a few of retirements from that team, possible that whole defence end.
Remember Usoro-Brown used to be Beckford-Chambers. So if she hadn’t gotten married, the old rule would still apply!
Hmm
@Nate, I agree with, “solid team from England” “a lot of experience” and “seeing a few of retirements from that team” on the last point I’m assuming you mean after the games.
Favorites for the gold?? No has to be Jam or Aus
As for the team, I don’t think there are any surprises. I wouldn’t have picked Cobden as she only covers one position. Would have picked Fran Williams or one of the young guns, Tash P or Zara E to give them the experience. Funmi is one of the reserves but I still don’t like her footwork
England struggle playing the big games in their own country.
Good team, Gold favs nopeMy top 3 are Australia, NZ, England.
The England v NZ game in group stage will be interesting, most likely to see who avoids Australia in semi.
I know Jamaica have great GS’s and GK’/GD. But their mid court is the issue plus he GA.
Ferns well Burger is a big loss, I feel Ekenasio won’t make the trip. But still believe they have the right players, and if Noel’s selects the right ones, then will make the final.
So given they have named 16 you would assume that every country can name the same number?
It’s a solid squad, no surprises and that defence end is stacked with experience. The senior members of the squad may hold on to after WC.
If the Jamaica defence end fires and the midcourt can hold onto ball then I think Jamaica could challenge for gold.
@jinxibo no i mean England will prob have the same team for the NWC next year, and i see a few retiring after that, so itll be interesting whos the next up and comings for England to fill those spots. If they can hold on to be competitive or will have a slight drop off?
Dont play the aerial game against Jamaica and use a moving circle will stump the defence end imo.
Still predicting a rematch of last CWG with England and Aussie final. NZ to pip Jamaica for bronze.
I just read that Beth Cobden has been deemed fit for Comm Games after missing the grand final.
What injury did she have for the GF? -
