Mid court:

Clarke
Malcolm (4th pick)
Cobden and Allison missing out here as Guthrie, Clarke, Francis and Guscoth(?) can all cover WD and they need more WA cover in Malcolm

Shooters – the hardest to pick:
Harten
Housby
Cardwell
Drakeford-Lewis (4th pick)
Fisher missing out due to being less versatile, since SDL could also cover WA

I recall some time ago that Cobden actually started out as a WA for the Roses – I remember it was 2016/17 when they came down here for series with the Ferns.

While predominantly a WD/C I’d give her a go at WA in this series to see if she’s a legitimate option there.

If the plan is for SDL to be picked as the fourth shooter/back-up WA then Cobden would only be third choice, potentially fourth if Clarke is in the mid court as well.

This Roses team makes me very uneasy as a Ferns supporter.

Wow what a team. Roses are definitely at their prime at the moment, they will be the team to beat at CWG.
