              No George Fisher.

Referencing George Fisher’s international break, Thirlby said: “We respect George’s decision to take some time away from international netball in the short term, but the door remains fully open for George to return and represent the Roses again in the future. As a founding member of the Roses programme, George has been a significant part of the Roses and has shown huge growth and improvement over recent years showing what a bright future she could have ahead of her in the red dress. She is a much-loved member of the team, and we look forward to welcoming her back.”

Ooh Elle McDonald! And stoked to see the return of Pitman for possibly the last time, even if it is only against Uganda. Still a cap! Of course Uganda are a quality side and I’m sure it’ll be a good game.

Elle McDonald. A bit like NZ in the past when they went out of their way to pick any Aussies who had any sort of connection to NZ. Seems a bit of that sort of thinking. England players struggling to get noticed for years and an Aussie just walks straight in without playing a game in the VNSL.

Elle McDonald is an interesting selection. Does seem rushed into the the English setup. I would have thought she would have been quite a way off selection for the Australian Fast 5 team.

@Tully rather like Kate Shimmin a couple of years ago….and where’s she now?!
