I like his list. Has Holly Fowler played for the Ferns yet?
I think she is definitely one for the future too.No, pretty sure she hasn’t played for them. She seems to be troubled by injury a bit?
Fowler will get her chance.
Nweke Wilson Dunn will push each other for that GS bib in years to come. I am a massive fun of Dunn, so hopefully she can get her fitness up. Could see her playing GA with Wilson.
Midcourt
Gordon Earle Poi Souness Heffernan are all still so young. Could become NZs strength in years to come. They struggled after Wilson George Seymour stepped away, and only last year did Crampton Saunders actually stepped it up.
Still hope Langman is around for a few more years yet!Defence…..
Fowler will get her chance. Fifita will be a Fern one day. Reminds me of a young Vagana.
Jury Faka SB will all come back strong from their injuriesFowler did her ACL a few years back. She seems fit now
I get nervous for Nweke…I just think of Latu and the pressure than comes with being ‘next in line’…. I think Wilson’s long wait on the bench has been frustrated at times, but in the long term i think it has been to her benefit. Too much too soon isn’t always a good combo aye.
Also of note is that there isn’t a circle defender in this five…I think it reflects that Karaka and Burger and Watson will be established for many years yet with Faka/Jury taking 4th spot once Rore retires….
