After many a phone call, text message, email and advice from some amazing people, we’re not much closer to finding a solution! #StrandedInNZ #AnyChartedFlightsBackToAustralia 🤞🏽 pic.twitter.com/kbIT6ujk0u

There are daily flights to at least 1 Aussie city from Auckland.
I’m guessing MIQ will be hard to get. But I’m sure she won’t have that much longer in NZ.So apparently, Geva is unvaccinated.
They say here that she could miss a large part of next SSN season which is total rubbish.
Okay well –
Not sure why the unvaccinated part is there but she can be vaccinated in NZ today if she so wants. Anyone in the country aged 12 or over can be done – no proof of citizenship required as the country needs to get the overstayers vaccinated. No Health no. – well they will get you one.
As to flights and MIQ, well thats the bigger issue but its also on England netball not to leave one of theirs abandoned in a foreign country (if you can call NZ foreign).
It appears this is now resolved.. Geva Mentor's confirmed she's got a private charter to Australia that leaves on October 7. She says she's grateful for the support from Netball New Zealand, Netball Australia and England Netball. @1NewsSportNZ https://t.co/BZLxM5Ouoh

Wonder who is paying for the chartered flight seat, they are not cheap.
Anyway sooo glad she is able to get home, before missing the SSN, which prob starts in March. (honestly that was a bit OTT)I feel like the BBC article is a bit unclear on why she would miss a large part of SSN? But confused m.
Very interesting that a person has organised that charter flight, so curious to know who it is. Can’t be cheap.
I’m sure she is having a blast doing the tourist things. I’d rather stay in NZ, than go back to Covid Melbourne.
I’m more interested in her being unvaccinated tbh…… surely SSN will have to make it mandatory for travelling players/staff next season ?
@Enozlas – Air NZ has made vaccination mandatory on International flights from next year and is investigating domestic (which I fully expect they will require it). I guess other airlines will also do it – if they haven’t already. There won’t be an option shortly if Australia follows suit.
NZ has announced non citizens will have to be fully vaccinated before coming to NZ – doesn’t mention sports teams but imo it should fully encompass every traveller entering NZ. Thats from 1 November this year.
In the end for whatever reason people will have to be vaccinated to travel.
