The 2020 @SuperNetball Season has been placed on hold until at least the 30th June due to the current impact of COVID-19.

Feel for Teigan O’Shannassy. She’s just been ruled out of the start of @SuperNetball with glandular fever. Teigan’s dealt with a number of injuries over the past couple of years and I was really looking forward to seeing her play in orange! Wishing her a speedy recovery. #netball pic.twitter.com/GfeNm0ysOI

Unlucky!
Guessing Anderson will come into the team?
Unless Brandley wants to make a return and not for Magpies. If teams need players throughout the season, will they be able to somehow get players from other states or are all the borders closed? (Not really up to date with the situation in Aus)
Brandley has a young bub. Highly doubt she would want to go into a qld hub.
Teams can have 12 players on game day. Their contracted players plus any 2 (training partners or otherwise).
If they are coming from VIC or NSW (once the new restrictions come in) they will need to do 14 days quarantine. Swifts and Giants will avoid quarantine by coming in over the next day before the restriction comes into effect. Not sure how many players giants and swifts will travel with but Vixens have 14 players in Brisbane whilst magpies have 12.
SA and WA are not subject to restrictions in qld so teams could draw players from there in an emergency or recruit a local. For a long term injury they could put someone through a 14 day quarantine if they have time or see it as beneficial to do so.
I saw someone say that Brandley had been training with Giants, I wonder if there’s any truth to that. I guess her moving with the team would depend on if her husband had the ability to travel so he could help out. Although I’d be surprised if she did play for them as she left it quite open as to whether she would even return to netball.
April Brandley with Giants in QLD. See CBass instagram story.
Wow, has she been able to take her baby and husband??
Depending on what Brandley’s fitness is like the Giants recruitment of her strengthens their list hugely. They lacked a leader and match winner in defence. Now they have one. A couple of days ago I thought they’d miss finals but now I think they are up there. So long as Austin solves the WA problems for them (such a shame she won’t be playing GA though). Claire O’Brien will hopefully get a chance at WA too.

Baby was in the Instagram story
Wow, as a mum to an 8 week old bub I barely find time to reply to text messages! I’m in complete awe of Brandley and hope she smashes it out on court.
