Julie Fitzgerald always seems to be able to pull these GDs out of retirement!! Hugely improves the Giants’ chances, their circle defenders were a weakness last year. Brandley has also played strongly at GK in her stints there and we saw how she almost turned the NWC final at WD so a great option for the team.
Disappointed Anderson couldn’t commit as this could’ve really been her chance to prove she has what it takes to be in the team of 10 next year but oh well, will be interesting to see Brandley at Giants
Well that will make them stronger.
Manua or Poolman to bench warm after a few games.Training partners Sophie Dwyer, Claire O'Brien and Matisse Letherbarrow round out a 13-player squad for the season's near future.#RiseAsGIANTS

The Giants are in a strange position where their training partners are stronger than many of their contracted players. Brandley is obviously an international, O’Brien was fighting for a Swifts starting position before her injury and Dwyer/Letherbarrow are strong young talents. Dwyer is very accurate from long range. It seems more likely to see them on court than Hay and McDonald.
Yeah, their training partners are strong.
Won’t be surprised to see OBrian and Brandley starting in a few weeks.
So many shooters! The GIANTS and the @NSWSwifts prove yet again why the NSW Derby is one of the greatest battles in @SuperNetball.
Many positives to take out the opening game.#SSNGIANTSSwifts

The second quarter lapse proved too costly for the GIANTS, with not enough time to claw back the damage.#SSNGIANTSThunderbirds
