They didn’t really add anything extra onto the initial statement about Bassett but i guess it’s not as if they were going to say anything different.
On the other hand, they mentiont they want to re-sign Brandley but that they’ve loved the circle of Poolman, Manu’a and McDonnell. So who is leaving? Or will Mcadonnell be on a TP contract again?aqua301ParticipantOctober 8, 2020 at 8:05 pmPost count: 35
Tegan O’Shannasy probably won’t be given a contract in favour of Brandley?Netballcrazy1ParticipantOctober 8, 2020 at 8:20 pmPost count: 1367
No I and I expect Toni Andersen will be stuck at ANL level and will only get a TP contract if Poolman or Manu’a move awayTullyParticipantOctober 8, 2020 at 8:46 pmPost count: 528
They will sign all of Manu’a, Poolman, McDonnell (she had a contract, not a TP) and Brandley. They won’t resign O’Shanessy who had a contract this year.
They had better hope that Austin and Dwyer stay.
Toni Andersen should go to the Swifts. Fix their WD problem and get herself a break through opportunity.Netballcrazy1ParticipantOctober 8, 2020 at 9:08 pmPost count: 1367
I like the idea of Andersen to swifts, could be a good move for both partiesIan HarkinModeratorNovember 20, 2020 at 6:55 pmPost count: 5942Ian HarkinModeratorNovember 20, 2020 at 7:07 pmPost count: 5942Ian HarkinModeratorNovember 20, 2020 at 8:40 pmPost count: 5942Netballcrazy1ParticipantNovember 20, 2020 at 10:03 pmPost count: 1367
I accidentally clicked on a part of the video which proved to be very informative.
Claire O’Brien and Toni Andersen are leaving Giants (in addition to Basset and O’Shannasy)al_exParticipantNovember 23, 2020 at 1:09 pmPost count: 498
A shame to see Anderson leave the sport and COB go over to NZL. I think she’ll really fit into their style though, she’d be a really good WA option for teams like Magic/Mystics going forward. I really hoped to see some of those girls back in the Swifts program next year. Maybe we’ll see TOS, but I’m not sure if she’s well enough yet to be in a high performance environment.Netballcrazy1ParticipantNovember 23, 2020 at 1:45 pmPost count: 1367
Anderson’s leaving the sport?! What a shame if that’s true, she would have been a great addition to some of the team this year.
Where in NZ is COB going, has she been signed to a team in their second-tier league?TullyParticipantNovember 23, 2020 at 4:59 pmPost count: 528
Such a shame to see Anderson leave. I think she would have been great at Swifts. Great talent who just didn’t break through but perhaps wasn’t given the opportunity. I wish her all the best for what is next for her.
Interesting move by O’Brien. Hope it works out. I wonder if she has NZ heritage and is eligible to play for NZ?
