This article peaked my interest only because One news doesn’t tend to report on gossip type conversations.
Who knows right until both ANZp and SSN is finished.

Read somewhere, yesterday, that Tia Winikerei said she was aware of the media predictions and from the rest of the wording used I got the feeling that it was a foregone conclusion. However nothing is going to go public before Mystics finish their season.
I do wonder if this is why Nweke’s form was down last week – she’s young and it will be a big decision for her.

I think it would either make her or break her…does she have the potential to be a Jhaniele? or will she stay a Romelda? – and I mean no disrespect to Romelda as I think she is playing her best netball ever this year, but her shooting has always been shakey and only really ever under the goal where she can rebound her own mnisses. I know which one I would rather have take a penalty shot on the buzzer to win the game.

and if she complains about the the likes of Fifita over here, how on earth is she going to deal with Stirling, Bruce, Klau (if it’s not swifts she’s going to) Dehaney, Kamo, Lewis, Jenner (and many more) with the constant and relentless body on body pressure and knocks. Most of the GS’s in the SSN are a little older, more mature, and know how to deal with the pressure and the constant knocks – is she up to that?

If Nweke does move to Aus, opens the door for Walmsley to return to Auckland.

Agree with Kerryn – Nweke is still relying on her leap/reach too much. She needs to have greater core strength to be more like JFR than Romelda. That said, she had a crappy last game and still shot 50+ goals.

I think it will make Nweke. She could easily stay in NZ and have an easy ride, but appears she wants the opportunity to improve herself by playing against the best defenders week in, week out.

Not to say she won’t have stumbles along the way, but the intent is there.

Intrigued to see Akle’s influence (if Swifts is where she ends up) and how Nweke integrates to that front line.

I think this great if it is true. Would love to see her in the SSN. I would also like to see other silver ferns there as well.

I’m surprised not to hear any talks/whispers about Kelly Jackson?
I would think a few teams could really do with her.

I just had a random thought lol.

But I wonder if Briony Akle was called into the assistant coach role for the Ferns (but still remain Swifts coach). Any NZ players that go to play for Swifts will get an exemption?

I feel that should be a thing lol

Adding to that, if Kiri Wills gets the Fbirds role. Same exemption rule applies there too?

                                  Imagine Swifts and Fbirds lineups:

NWEKE Housby Proud Hadley BURGER Turner Klau

Bueta EKENASIO Gardner GORDON Veve Bakewell JACKSON

Yes I am just throwing names out there, but would love to see it.
