Very happy for Bueta but yes, concerned for the World Cup. She literally held our attack end together at the CWG.

Guess it’s time to throw Wallam and Koenan into the deep end and see what happens. Might’ve been nice to have Glasgow in the squad over Garbin for that GS position.

Going to be tough for the Diamonds and Firebirds.

I really hope Garbin has been working on her confidence to post, she is so strong as a holding shooter, but the shots need to land!

Koenen has already proved her worth in the deep end at the CWG. Australia was also missing Hadley. This is probably the time for a player like Dwyer to step up her play because her accuracy from range is really what the Diamonds need.

Congratulations to Gretel and family!

This is a huge opportunity for Wallam to stand up and really stamp her mark. She showed what she can do this season. She went away with the Diamonds and would have learnt a lot. Her and Koenan offer two different styles to the GS position, which will be great for the Diamonds.

Super interested to see who Firebirds sign! It would have to be someone with experience and leadership ability considering the three rookies they signed in defence and midcourt, plus Stower didn’t get too much court time last year. Maybe she will now!

@tina_138 – in an announcement she said its still very early (pregnancy) so I’d say yes to her being out. Netball world cup is just under 10 months away but I guess given how early she returned after Bobby, maybe.

Massive congrats to Bueta family.

A youngster that may be considered, Ang Frectic (unsure of spelling) – Giants TP. Don’t think she missed in the ANC. Bulley would know her from NSW.
We have to remember Lightning are also in need of a replacement goalie.
