    Wilson, Dunn, TPSR, Metuarau
    Poi, Crampton, Saunders, Winders
    Watson, Burger, Fitzpatrick, Jury

With the wider squad Burley, Mes, Souness, Heffernan, Gordon

I do feel like the GA position, is going to be a very important spot. They have to be willing to go to the post, and share the work load.

This is what separated Ekenasio to the rest, prior to her it was Maria.

I do have TPSR and Mes in my SF team. However there’s that ? over their shooting ability. Is Hume the main/only GA, that has slotted a high number of goals? Or has there been others?

We need 15+ goals a game from a GA to take some of that load off Wilson.

    Hume can do it.
Metuarau did it with Fisher away, however she leans heavily into the third feeder role when paired with a really dominant shooter. However I do seem to remember in her Tuivaiti and early Dunn days her volume was 20ish goals as game.
    Williams does it quite frequently.
    TPSR has done it, previously.
Mes has done it too, but not for a while and mainly when playing GS.

Be interesting to see how those playing finals go and if their performances (or lack of) affect their teams.

Amazing the people who haven’t selected Kimi Poi. She is the form C in the ANZ by some margin. Miles ahead of Kersten and Winders. Poi will be the starting C for the Ferns, she took her chance in the Con Cup and ran with it.

Will be interesting to see if Nweke passes Taurua’s fitness standards, the ones that have kept Dunn out of the Ferns contention in the past.

    Maia, TPSR, Mes, Nweke
    Crampton, Saunders, Winders, Poi
    Sulu, Burger, Watson, Burley

I tried to get Toeava in there, but I can’t drop any of those midcourters. It wouldn’t make sense.

That 4th defender is really an open invitation lol. Whoever makes the cut and trials well. Jury, Temu, Fafita, Maihi, Tong all worthy of fighting for it.

You don’t think Jury is ahead of the rest?

I don’t have Jury in my 12, she might be ok at GK, but at GD nope, so no room.

    My team would be:

    Wilson GS/GA
    Nweke GS
    TPSR GA/GS
    Metuarau GA/GS/WA

    Poi C/WA
    Saunders C/WA
    Crampton WA/C
    Winders WD/C

    Fitzpatrick GK/GD
    Watson GK/GD
    Burger GD/GK/WD
    Jury GK/GD

Interesting so few have included Kersten when she was the SF’s starting C in the Constellation Cup earlier this year. But when you see the other centre court players that have been included by most on this thread, it’s understandable.

I think I’d include Jury before Temu, Fafita, Maihi, Tong, but I get she’s behind Fitzpatrick and Watson for GK, her better position.

Kersten was the starting C in the first 3 CC games, IMO she was outplayed and was a tad slow, so come the mid 3rd Q in game 3 Poi came on, and Kersten parked up for the rest of the game and all of game 4.

Thanks mcleod, I knew some-one would know the details of the C position in the Constellation Cup.

I am planning a double attacking strategy with the team I picked.
    (NWeke,Wilson,Shelby-Rickit,Williams;Toeava,Crampton,Saunders,Winders;Fitzpatrick,Burger,Watson,Harrison)
    Plan A:
    Wilson,Williams,Crampton,Saunders,Winders,Fitzpatrick,Watson
    Bench:NWeke,Shelby-Rickit,Toeava,Burger,Harrison
    Plan B:
    NWeke,S-R,Toeava,Saunders,Burger,Fitzpatrick,Wilson
    Bench:Wilson,Williams,Crampton,Winders,Harrison

NWeke and Toeava must on court as a pairing, as together they are magical

You do know that Harrison is retired from the Ferns, and will not be returning.
And any WA could lob to Nweke, just chuck the ball in the air and see what happens

Harrison deserves a spot in “my” squad.
As for Toeava, she does as well, essentially seen in the light of the devastating partnership she has developed with NWEKE.
You can pick whomever you want, I stick with my choices :good:
