Yuck. I subscribe to The Age, might have to revisit that.
Sharelle McMahon was left deflated and disappointed by The Age TV Guide preview of the Super Netball Season

Moving forward, let’s keep netball offence on the court
His name wasn’t Jono was it? ?
Thank goodness his career died in New Zealand netball articles.
That was a perfect reply by Sharni Layton.
This morning I came here to post the same URL as Ian has posted above. It’s a lovely, and funny, article in The Age today. I’ve just come back to Netball Scoop to discover, once again that Netball Scoop sometimes doesn’t allow me to add URLs to my posts. But the article is behind a paywall anyway, so only those with a subscription to the Age could see it. It made me laugh a couple of times.

and the other thing i don’t get (this appeared in Melbourne and Sydney papers) is that Channel 9 now owns those papers, and televises the netball. Way to go to sabotage ratings, Channel 9!
I did laugh at the somewhat tongue-in-cheek ‘mea culpa’ that appeared in the TV Guide in yesterday’s SMH, and, I assume, the Age. a 5 star review for the Super Netball, with the comment being
“A highly skilled and athletic game, that doesn’t have the money of AFL/NRL, has come together in a hub and sacrificed any money they do have to get their season started”. Well said, Sharni Layton, 46 time Australian netball representative. Once a schoolgirl, possibly played workplace-bonding game, glamorous – but who cares? Today the Lightning host the Magpies and the Giants take on the Thunderbirds. Enough said? Not quite: Five stars. Malcolm Knox -
