Cholhok is a great pick up. If Romelda stays and the Swifts sign Nweke, where will Wallam go? The Giants I am guessing.

@silverferns1 – Huge difference between Head Coach and Assistant Coach. Wilson would be utterly disinterested in an Assistant role.

@TBinteresting!! Haven’t thought of that. I’m remembering when Wills gave Daystar Swift a contract, seems to like tall players.

I wonder if the GS is Maia?? Then Bueta can play GS and Maia GA.

          Let’s not forget Elle Temu.

Maia, no thankyou. Especially not at GA. Moore and Dwan are already signed and much better at GA

Again, I say that Moore and Dwan are both signed for next year, so as far as I can see, Firebirds can only sign one shooter and they have to be a GS.

Seen a few posts from players to Wills but when I saw this one I wondered if Crampton would go looking for a contract. I can’t see her wanting to play for SF again so seeking an exemption wouldn’t be an issue.
I can’t see Nweke wanting to go in to a team in a rebuilding phase and I don’t think she would be ready for all that would entail. I’m not sure how far through her degree she is either but I believe its a double major she’s doing so combined with her young age it might all be too much. Thats if Firebirds are, in fact, considering her.

Was watching some games from last year, Dwan at Tbirds. I feel she plays better with a moving shooter (Caldwell). I found her form this season to be a bit hot and cold. I feel she struggles to work with a target shooter?
Against the Swifts, she had a strong game with Moore who is a moving shooter. I think she’d work in really well with Bueta!

I think her best season was her first year with Romalda, so she can definitely work with a big holding shooter. I don’t think it was a great year for Dwan or Wallam, but that could me more to do with the culture at Firebirds this year.

Found an article where Wills said the unknown in regard to ANZ after 2025 and the need to pay the bills played quite a part in her decision.
