wow, an awesome player who will be missed. I know alot of Kiwis on this board don’t rate Laura. But I agree with NNZ, she is a legend of the game.
Enjoy the retirement Laura, look forward to watching you play in the rest of SSN season with the lightning.
Congratulations on a brilliant career! If you go back and re-watch the NWC 2007 final its quite incredible to see how much Langman grew over the years, particularly in her drive down the court. A true once in a generation mid-courter!
Who doesn’t rate Long socks Kat??
Oh what a career, what a woman! Could write an novel for this super woman. But the SSN season isn’t over yet. I guess it’s time to watch with all the glory that she brings to the game. Let’s go Lightning!
Absolute legend. A sad day, but looking forward to the new guard.
Wonder if Langman will be retained as some sort of specialist coach? A lot of knowledge there.
Congrats on a fabulous career Laura!! I’m glad she hasn’t retired from netball entirely, and hopefully we get to see her play a few more season in the SSN
Wow, what a career! I’m happy she ended her international career on a much deserved high.
What an amazing career. She will definitely be missed not just by NZ fans but netball fans
Greatest netballer of all time.
Amazing human and role model for all netballers out there. I still hope she stays on the scene and continues her contribution to netball. I’m so thankful she’s played in the modern era and we have replays of her most amazing moments online haha
GOAT. Legend.
We all knew it was coming soon, but will be so weird not seeing her there!
So lucky to have Poi Gordon Souness all coming though.
Might see Winders in nowA real legend of the sport. I gained so much respect for her after the sacrifices she made to play for the Lightning and strive to be the best netball player she could be. She’s been so instrumental in the development of so many great players in NZL, Australia and internationally. Hopefully she gets the fairytale ending with Lightning like she did with the Ferns!
The Ferns have no problems with midcourt depth right now so it will be a great opportunity to blood some new players. Might be a good opportunity for a defensive mid courter like Winders or Elley to step up.
Congratulation to Laura on a fantastic career. Never get sick of watching her play. I would rate her as one of the truly great Silver Ferns. She was just brilliant in the game yesterday against the Thunderbirds. Will miss seeing her play in the Ferns. Glad she got to play in the Suncorp and take her game to the highest level.
What can I say about a netballer, athlete, diplomat, person and most importantly leader such as Laura Langman! An opponent of the highest character and skill to coach against. Laura encapsulates all the best aspects of NZ and what it means to be a world champion Silver Fern. https://t.co/P6lUyUfDBT

@6Lauz it has been an absolute pleasure to work with you. Never a cross word or questioned decision, even when I may have questioned one myself. The most professional of professionals, focussed on being the best version of yourself and bringing something new to our sport. #GOAT https://t.co/I249B7yniw
