#BREAKING @AussieDiamonds coach Lisa Alexander and Netball Australia have parted ways.
More to come.

WOW NO WAY! This is unreal. I doubt it was mutual, I have a feeling LA would have wanted to continue on. I wonder what is next for her (Back to SSN?) and who will be the new Diamonds coach? So much to think about.

Surprised at the timing of this announcement – not surprised at the announcement itself.
Diamonds def need a new game plan and some of the selections have been questionable under LA and whilst selections are totally in LA hands, she’d have significant input.
Who’s going to be the new coach??? JWT, BA????????
The Netball Australia board has announced it will not be renewing the contract of Australian Diamonds head coach Lisa Alexander beyond the end of 2020.

This is a better article with her opinion:
Lisa Alexander’s contract not renewedTiming is odd. JWT, Wright, and Akle top my head as replacements but JWT doesn’t want to coach, Wright has struggled to bring together some great stars at times, and Akle is very new to this scene despite her recent success. Akle would pribabaly be the best but it would be a shame to see her leave Swifts
I think the Fire charity game will be a good opportunity for NA to look at JF and BA!
Th Bushfire Relief game will be her last game, but the contract is not being renewed beyond the end of 2020. Does this mean they’ve terminated her contract early. And there’s the Constellation Cup (end of the year) to compete in.
What a legend. Despite the two big losses, she certainly dominated over the time she was coach. Quad Series and CC were her strong points since she began in 2011.
So her contract ends in December, but it says the charity match will be her last? 🤔
Congratulations @CoachLisaA on a stellar career with the @AussieDiamonds 😀 It’s been a pleasure to work alongside you and against you over many years. I wish you all the very best for the future 😀 https://t.co/48ge5Lu0Mg

Sad for her, but it was clear it was going to happen soon. Failing to win Comm Games and World Cup as the world number 1 team.
She has done well since first starting the role though. Developed some real gems.
McKinnis? Akle will be my choice, but will be sad for Swifts.
Wonder if we will see Basset also step down after 2020.
Interesting times for Australia netball
Megan Anderson might get a look in. But, has little to no experience as a head coach.
Lisa’s replacement in the head Diamonds coaching role will face issues as her predecessor. The SSN’s free for all import rule is key to the competition’s rise. However, the best netball competition in the world isn’t synonymous with producing future Diamond players.
