Hi Netball Scoopers!
I’m a long-term lurker, first-time poster. I’ve been lurking on the forums here since before the new website launched, so thought it was about time to sign up and be counted – thanks for having me! 🙂
I manage/coach and play in a women’s team that plays on Thursday nights in Parkville (Melbourne) at the State Netball Centre and we’re on the look-out for a tall GS to join the fold for the season commencing Thursday 1 February 2018. The Hot Pursuits are well known for being a friendly and welcoming team, and we play in good competitive spirit. We narrowly missed out on a premiership in our last hit-out, making it to the Grand Final but bowing out to the stronger team on the night. Our current GS is moving to the UK for work, thus opening up an opportunity for a tall, strong, positive-minded GS to join the team!
Perhaps you’re reading this after a bit of a lay-off? Maybe you’ve had a kid (or two) and you’re itching to get back on court, but just haven’t found quite the right team for it yet? Maybe reading this makes you think of someone you know? An old team-mate or colleague who used to be a gun but life got in the way? Or maybe you’re still playing but your team just isn’t having fun anymore (could that even be a thing!?)? Maybe club-netball isn’t for you anymore and you’re looking for something a little smaller (we don’t train and we play on sprung floorboards!)? Hit me up, I’d love to hear from you (or your sister, or your friend, or your cousin, or your work-mate’s girlfriend who has just moved here…). We’ll provide you with a dress and a new bunch of mates, all you have to bring is a positive attitude and your love of netty! 😀
