Dame NT is looking for a group of 17 or 18 players and up to 6 (I think) in the development group who would you pick??

Who was it that suggested 6 shooters? have to admit I’m stuck already. I only have Dunn, Eke, Wilson and TPSR. I’m thinking Mes and Faulkner if they still have the accuracy and can get fit.

Further to Al_ex’s comment about “natural” GA’s, what about Hume?

I feel like a Watson/Faka combination, works well against NZ style play. I would only take one of them into the Ferns, as I find them to have similar styles at GK.

Defence: Watson Burger Jury and Rore

Midcourt: Langman Crampton Poi and Saunders

Shooters: Wilson Eke TPSR and Dunn/Nweke (whoever wins the fitness test, to go through)

Squad: Dunn/Nweke (whoever doesn’t make the Ferns) Hume Souness Kara Faka Burley

If picking the defenders on ANZ form, I don’t have Rore even close to my squad. Her form is poor, she should be playing WD, that’s the only position she will play in the Ferns.

Taurua said an 17 or 18 player Ferns Squad and then a 10 player development team. With Karaka’s pregnancy I think that definitely opens up a spot for Kate Burley.

Opps, Sam Winders will make the development squad at least.
Grace Kara has had a good return, but time to continue to develop the young guns in Gordon Souness Poi.
