The teams need game time even if it means borrowing players. Personally I think it is great and another opportunity for individuals to showcase their talent.

I gather a team can request a postponement if they are down four or more players so I guess Mystics don’t qualify.
Other Sports do it. Football (soccer) loan players to there clubs all the time, the warriors in the NFL had loan player in 2020, when they ran out of players.
Look a pragmatic solution in a unique situation/year.
Just listened to the Inside Netball podcast and they quoted Wills as saying she would contact former players to help the Stars out if required, like Leana de Bruin.. dear me.
