For me its not a question of whether she will do a good job. I think any coach in SSN is capable of being the Diamonds coach. For me, its the fact that there are sooooo many other coaches out there that have had MUCH more success that Stacey, and yet she got the job anyway. Its more the fact that she isn’t quite as deserving of the role as some other coaches, e.g. McKinnis, Fitzgerald. who have put in a big efforts AND got the results. With the calibre of players in the Diamonds, they could have a 12 year coaching them, and still win…

That’s true @charleswb but I’m saying you don’t have to be a coaching mastermind to have made the right decisions at the CWG and WC. I think LA became over confident in the 12-strong squad, and didn’t leave a starting 7 out on court to win. Obviously the ’12 year old’ bit was a joke, but my point still stands that you don’t really have to be that could of a coach, you just have to make the right decisions.
