Wow, just realised Pulse have got two new players, one called Paris and the other called Parris. Crazy!
Anyone else find it very odd that Pulse have not named their shooters?
Thought Dunn Ekenasio and McLean would be the obvious choice but maybe they haven’t signed on yet
TactixSupporter – it’s got to be linked to Magic’s situation. Both have applied for extensions to naming their squads. I wonder if CBass doesn’t sign for Magic then either Dunn or Ekenasio is on the move. With the tier system Pulse seems to have too many players that should be higher up the scale.
Guessing CBass is waiting to see if Australia changes their 2point shot for next season before she commits to a NZ team. That may be some time.
Yeah I was thinking that. Dunn or Ekenasio to Magic doesn’t make sense though
It’s such a strange situation. I can’t imagine why Ekenasio would leave considering her family situation. Dunn I would understand if they threw some money at her but I was under the impression that she was committed to the Pulse and that’s why Wilson signed on at Stars instead of moving down. Maybe Pulse are interested in CBass as well? If I was a Kiwi franchise I would want to keep Dunn, she’s far more likely to play at a high level in NZL going forward.
On a different note, Dunn has to be one of the best Kiwi players in recent memory to not make a Ferns squad. She’s probably the only Tier 1 (or even Tier 2) player who hasn’t been selected for higher honours.
I rate Dunn. She would be in my Game Day 12. But, I guess fitness is still an issue.
I did some enquiring because I was wondering what the hold up was too.
So, it seems the Magic and the Pulse approached a NZ shooter that is in the Superleague. She turned down the Pulse I suspect because she knew she would be spending most of the time on the bench. She did sign with the Magic though. Then the whole Bassett situation blew up across the ditch and Bassett ended up signing with the Magic. I thought this deal might have fallen through with her being named in the Australian side but it doesn’t seem to have.
But, the Magic don’t want the other shooter that they signed anymore and are trying to negotiate with the Pulse to take her which is where the holdup is. The Pulse don’t really want her anymore as they have other options too and may bring back a more experienced former Pulse shooter to sit on the bench.
A Kiwi shooter in the Superleague – England? Surely Semple?
And a former Pulse player to warm the bench? Amaru-Tibble?
That is some juicy insight Nesian! Good work ?
Wow.
Sounds like Semple. Interesting timesHmm interesting, don’t doubt you Nesian, however, I don’t see why Pulse would want Semple ??
I can imagine them approaching Joyce M. Then Dunn could learn to play GA as she did in the Youth Cup. Also, Manchester Thunder have yet to announce her in their line up ( I think).
Semple is a GA and more accurate than ALM so why wouldn’t Magic keep her?Geez looks like Magic have gotten themselves into a Thunderbirds situation. They might have to make Semple’s contract disappear like they made Fowler’s!
Semple would be great for the Magic. Super accurate and a very clever play-maker! I would take her over both McPhee and Latu-Meafou
