Crampton moves from Steel up to StarsNettySuperFanParticipantSeptember 3, 2020 at 10:43 amPost count: 265
Wow, a decent amount of movement. Monica Faulkner could play her way into the ferns if she can get the combo firing with Wilson. Elle Temu was the GK for pulse, right? Could I idea for her to move, she should get some decent court time. So they’ve got 4 shooters, 3 middies and 3 defenders? Fairly strong squad and could go far next season.TBParticipantSeptember 3, 2020 at 10:50 amPost count: 550
No Grace Kara. Retirement maybe? Or maybe heading back to Magic?NesianParticipantSeptember 3, 2020 at 10:51 amPost count: 190
I do like that Stars team. I know a couple of the ones not named have moved to the Mystics.
Wilson with Crampton is going to be very good.TBParticipantSeptember 3, 2020 at 10:52 amPost count: 550
I highly doubt it, cause she has a young family, but I wonder if heading to Steel is on the cards. I remember her sister did that a few years back.
I’m sticking with retirement though!thunder123ParticipantSeptember 3, 2020 at 10:55 amPost count: 371
Shame Kate Burley has moved.WaylayParticipantSeptember 3, 2020 at 10:56 amPost count: 243
So Kate Burley & Fa’amu Ioane to Mystics you think Nesian??
This team is heavy on shooters but I guess Hume can play as a GA/WA slide.
I love watching Anna Harrison play but I would have preferred them to keep Kate Burley.NesianParticipantSeptember 3, 2020 at 11:14 amPost count: 190
Yup, you are on to in Waylay. Good pickups for the Mystics.Ian HarkinModeratorSeptember 3, 2020 at 11:26 amPost count: 12946Netfan212ParticipantSeptember 3, 2020 at 11:41 amPost count: 25
Glad Crampton has made the move. Her combo with Saunders, while slick and strong, was beginning to feel stale to me. I’d like to see her develop her game a C tbh. I’d put Reuelu-Buchanan at WA, as she hasn’t really impressed at centre.
I like the way Temu plays. Solid backline with Harrison.
Kara? Will probably retire? Burley- ashame she’s moved. I presume shes headed Mystics way, which could bolster her ferns chances playing along side Fitzpatrick.
I really like this team. I wouldn’t be surprised if they go all the way!museboyParticipantSeptember 3, 2020 at 11:47 amPost count: 101
I still feel a slightly unbalanced side, as they don’t have a natural C and Harrison plays better at GK/WD than GD. But definitely the makings of a finals side, and I think they have a great coach.Netfan212ParticipantSeptember 3, 2020 at 12:00 pmPost count: 25
Yeah- they keep shooting themselves in the foot by not signing a Centre. Crampton, while being the best WA in NZ at the moment, to me is a better option a C than Reuelu-Buchanan. Gina started her career with the Steel as a C – it’s never going to happen but :/
But you don’t have to look very far to see the best players in the world at their position, having to play out of it. ie- Watson having to play Centre for the Diamonds.NZChampionParticipantSeptember 3, 2020 at 12:30 pmPost count: 451
Big move from Crampton. Good for her. Loving the look of the attack end. Defence looks strong too. I can see Crampton in C, she’s certainly fit enough. Never looks puffed.
