Wow! What a team.
Very impressive signings.
That shooting end is strong.
Never thought Crampton would leave Steel.Interesting signings. Falkner is a great get for them but I think they should have gone for a C/WD/GD instead of Crampton. Burley is a big loss in my opinion.
That shooting end is so talented. Wilson is a gun.
Falkner and Malesala are both very very very good players. Both former Magic players. Why are everyone leaving Magic?Hume to play WA back up?
Losing Burley is huge though.
Maihi Temu and Harrison are all suited at GK. GD might be a problemBurley to Mystics? Will she be the GD with Fitzpatrick GK and MSB at WD?
Ioane also gone. Mystics? Magic?
Kara retirement?Stars have no development program. Steel Tactix Magic and Pulse are often promoting their young guns, but Stars hardly ever promote Beko players
With the pay tiers in place this is exactly the kind of team we can expect across the 6 teams.
Even though the Pulse (for example) will lose more players, talent spread through the teams surely has to be better for NZ netball overall. It makes the 2021 season very exciting!
Wilson and Crampton will be the top 2 paid players at the Stars
Lisa Mather would be my first preference for C. And Crampton and MRB to battle it out for WA.
However they’ll probably go Mather/MRB/Crampton (WD-WA).Hume and Faulkner to battle it out for GA. That’s nice healthy competition within the team.
Faulkner played WYC with Wilson with Wills as coach I believe.
I’m with you TS “Wow”
Very surprised to see Harrison, I’m wondering if Kate Lloyd was there knocking on dock saying it what about me!
Malesala what a lovely player but as already said on the forum she will be sitting on the bench behind Falkner and Hume. I wonder why she didn’t go to Magic, surely she’d get a starting bib?
I’d say Hume will be behind Falkner and Malesala. Both are stronger shooters. Hume is a good playmaker, so should be working on her WA game…..
This team is very strong, but question marks over their defenders. Don’t think they have an obvious GD.
Former Silver Fern Anna Harrison always knew her body could cope with a comeback but she needed to consider if her mind was ready for another retirement.https://t.co/4546iTrPMm

Northern Stars coach Kiri Wills joined Three Feet Radio to discuss how she was able to bring Anna Harrison out of retirement to play in next year’s ANZ Premiership and a range of netball issues.

Incidentally, Kiri Wills is very well-spoken and insightful in her ANZP and SSN insights.
Very good interview! Great insight into the recruitment process and reasons behind players moving in 2021.
Reading between the lines, she said the defenders are very raw so she wanted Harrison to come and help out. I heard this and automatically thought it was Burleys decision to not sign with Stars and she wanted to develop a connection with Ferns defenders.
Crampton asked to come because of Wilson (apparently heaps of midcourt players wanted to play with Wilson according to Wills)
I think this team lacks balance. While I understand Kiri reasoning, I think the stars have too many shooters. By the way I think Kiri will make a very good silver fern coach in the future if she wants it.

I don’t know how you do it, but your unorthodox ways just seem to work don’t they?
but will they pay off with Scar? Elle Temu is a great addition and no doubt bound to flourish under Scar mentorship.. but that’s all she’ll be right? a mentor?????sip sip sip
